  If there was an option to give "Negative" stars that is what this rating would be. Although Mr. Clark has 41 years' experience as it is stated in his resume. There comes a time when people cannot perform their job in a safe manor. This is the case in Mr. Clark. We recently submitted for an Appraisal, when Mr. Clark came to our home we were concerned due to his inability to walk. He is a much older gentleman that had a great deal of trouble just walking in our home. When it came to the basic steps of performing an appraisal Mr. Clark did not perform his job. We pointed out work that had been done in our home since the previous appraisal. Mr. Clark was not willing to listen. After his lack of interest and a total of only 45 minutes in a 5000 square foot home I was concerned. I didn’t want my home's appraisal to suffer due to his lack of performance. I immediately contacted our lender and told them of my concerns. I informed them that Mr. Clark was disinterested in the home, and seemed very disconnected. I also informed them that Mr. Clark contacted us the following day stating that he didn’t get all the measurements he needed and asked my husband to forward documents he had from when the home was originally purchased. I informed them that it was my belief that Mr. Clark was a Safety Concern. Due to his age and inability to walk freely in a safe manor. When he walked up our stairs we followed behind him for fear that he was going to fall. Well days later when the appraisal came back my concerns were valid. Mr. Clark appraised my home even lower than when the home was purchased 3 years ago. Since purchasing the home we have completed over 70K in work. The third floor was subfloor and not considered livable space when the home was purchased. It is now an additional 1200 square feet of living space. Our home is immaculate, It has been featured on local tours and has had newspaper articles written on it due to its substantial restoration process. His comps were over a year old. He listed no work had been done on our home since the purchase. He listed that the area had not shops, churches etc. We have 4 churches within 1 block of the home. He listed the major employer was over 5 miles away, that is incorrect. We have a major Employer that employs over 10,000 employees within 2 miles of the home. There are many more inconsistencies listed on the paperwork we received. When I contacted Mr. Clark due to my concern on the substantially low appraisal and my concerns. Mr. Clark was very rude. He stated he was " not going to speak to me " and that I could contact the lender. I expressed my concerns due to him not taking all the measurements or going through the entire home. Mr. Clark was VERY unprofessional. Unfortunately I have already received my generic appraisal and Mr. Clark has received my $450.00 and there is nothing that can be done about it. Mr. Clark did not do his job. He basically was there for the $450.00 fee, he was in and out of the home. He did not conduct a fair appraisal. Please if you have ANY say in who does your appraisal DO NOT USE this man. Mr. Clark can no longer perform his job to standard. Unfortunately I was not warned, so I feel it is my duty to warn other of his low standards and lack of due diligence and interest in performing his job. Thank you.
