  Very slow service

  This is the first of many reviews (the name is a pseudonym so I don't get blackballed). I opened a BoA account online one week ago today. Since then I've had nothing but issues, the card didn't work, I didn't have access to online information. Nothing. I was concerned it was a lack of information so I came to THIS LOCATION to verify they needed nothing else from me and it was just a defective card. The gentleman I spoke to said that was the case and that everything was fine. I needed to schedule an hour to get a new one. Well, in hopes to avoid that I tried to get a new card online. Well, would you believe I still didn't have access. I just called to close the account and was informed that the account was closed by a BoA employee because "something" couldn't be verified. I asked if if they tried to contact me (knowing they didn't) the woman wouldn't answer me. Instead, she told me to come back into a location an open a new account I told her I'd rather bank with Wells Fargo. The fact is that they closed my account (which takes days according to her) and no one tried to reach me for "verification ". The fact that the man I spoke to AT THIS LOCATION negated to tell me any of this, is so skeevy and unseemly. Shame on you BoA. When Wells Fargo looks like a better option, that should say something. Oh and I'm filing a complaint with Corey and the BBB regarding your methods. Do you hope that these "closed" accounts will accrue money from unknowing people?
